How To Avoid Dental Problems Like Swollen Gums
The initial signs that our gums are already infected with bacteria are when we are experiencing bleeding and swollen gums. These condition is actually signifies that early gum disease referred to as gingivitis is setting in. If the condition is not managed, the bacterial infection can spread to nearby tooth causing other healthy teeth to become infected as well. It is our body's immune system that fights bacteria present in our oral cavity that attacks gums and teeth. Bacteria releases substances and toxins that cause inflammation that destroys our gums and periodontal ligament, thus causing our gums to bleeding and swollen gums. To avoid dental problems, prevention is of importance. It is of the essence that our gums should be kept clean at all times. The key to healthy gums and teeth are the proper techniques of brushing and flossing teeth, at the same time with regular dental cleanings.
