Pain relief.

  * Try topical medicines (drugs that are untan as salves or ointments) for pain. Rinse your mouth before applying medicines on the gums or the coating of the mouth. Wipe your mouth and teeth gently with moist gauze in salt water to remove particles.
    * The pain can provide relief in case you do not achieve the topical medicines. No steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (MAINE, painkillers of the type of aspirin) should not be taken by patients treated with chemotherapy because these patients are vulnerable to bleeding.
    * The capsaicin, the active ingredient in hot pepper, can be used to increase a person's ability to tolerate pain. When applied capsaicin in inflamed tissue in the mouth, the pain of muscovite’s decreases with mitigation of the burning of capsaicin. Unknown side effects of capsaicin.
    * The zinc supplements, when taken during radiation therapy could help treat mucositis like dermatitis (skin inflammation).
    * The use of the mouthwash of providence-iodine that does not contain alcohol can help delay or reduce mucositis caused by radiation therapy.
