Swollen Gums – A Manifestation Of Gum Disease

How will you know if you have gum disease? The signs and symptoms of gum disease may progress painlessly, that is why the condition is easily missed. In other cases, the bleeding of the gums and swollen gums are the obvious manifestation of early gum disease known as gingivitis. Most symptoms are mild which is why people are not aware that oral bacteria inside the mouth already strikes hard to cause a dental problem. It can also come with moderately inflamed gums, tender and sensitive gums, itchy sensation in the gums and the presence of bad breath. The bad news is that if the signs and symptoms are left unchecked and treated, tendency is that gum disease can progress causing advanced gum disease called periodontitis that is linked to tooth loss.
