Teeth during Pregnancy
A consultation at the 4th month and another 6 months after the birth of the child. Background: pregnant women have an increased risk of oral diseases and are particularly receptive to the recommendations during pregnancy.
A good teeth, great arteries
Surprising as it may seem, there is a relationship between bacterial flora oral and condition of the arteries. So if you leave gingivitis evolve, the diameter of your arteries may diminish, they harden, is atherosclerotic.
To understand the link between atherosclerosis and oral statement, start with some explanation.
From gingivitis to periodontitis
Periodontitis is an infectious disease that usually follows gingivitis. This last condition is an inflammation of the gums, resulting in painful swelling. This gingivitis must be handled quickly, the risk of complications. In the absence of support, microbes which constitute the oral bacterial flora may migrate under the gums and reach the bone. Then they attack the tissues supporting the tooth and destroy gradually. Abscesses can occur and teeth are shoes.

Surprising as it may seem, there is a relationship between bacterial flora oral and condition of the arteries. So if you leave gingivitis evolve, the diameter of your arteries may diminish, they harden, is atherosclerotic.
To study the relationship between dental disease and cardiovascular disorders, long suspected, researchers collected samples of dental plaque of 660 people aged approximately 70 years to precisely analyze the composition bacterial mouth. Meanwhile, thanks to medical imaging, the diameter of the carotid arteries of each subject was measured.
Thus, the higher the rate of dental microbes, the greater the patients have small diameter arteries, reflecting a deposit of oxidized fats on their wall, i.e. the process of atherosclerosis.
